Scotland, the Midlands & the North

The base for these three branches is a farm in North Yorkshire, and they are all managed by Peter Thompson. Peter and his family breed pure and rare breed poultry in a wide range of both chicken and duck breeds. These are grown on at the farm for domestic/pet homes. Some chicken breeds can be sexed at hatch for accurate purchasing as laying birds. Please specify at booking if this is something you wish to be able to do. We cannot guarantee these breeds will be included in your kit as it depends on who is in lay, but we can do our best!

Below are some photographs from this farm.

London & East

Our London & East branch is based in Norfolk and managed by Jane Stuart. Chickens are a mix of pure and rare breeds and occasionally hybrids. The eggs in your kit will be subject to who is laying! Ducks are usually Pekins. Chickens are grown on for domestic free range homes as pets/laying birds. Ducks are smallholder reared as both pets/laying birds and table birds.

South East

Our South East branch farm is based in Kent and managed by Kate Campbell. Chickens are mostly dual purpose utility strains. Some pure breeds also, whose eggs are used in kits when in lay. Ducks are mainly Pekins. Any birds that are not purchased by settings return to the main flocks at the area managers farm, where they are pasture reared in a traditional, low intensity farming style in both laying flocks and as table birds.

South West

Our South West branch is based on a farm in Cornwall and managed by Nick Meagor. Nick breeds mainly pure and rare breed poultry in a wide range of breeds. Both chickens and ducks are grown on at the area managers farm for domestic/pet homes. Ducks are occasionally reared as table birds. Selected birds are exhibited at poultry shows. You could hatch his next winner!
